Daily walk
Thursday 7th May After a week of walking, we are realizing the commitment involved in promising to walk daily. Yes, it will make us healthier, and we hope to continue after this campaign is done. It occurred to me the effort it took Dad to serve during WW11,  that he most likely marched miles each day, and not in ideal conditions, rain, snow, mud, cold weather, flooding.  He believed in the duty to serve, through all obstacles.  We are walking 20 minutes a day, in warm, sunny, clear weather. It’s the least we could do. Share
My Dad
Friday 1st May Born in 1920,  on the family farm in SW Saskatchewan, Warren was part of the “ Great Generation “. He was charismatic , musical, intelligent.  He played harmonica & fiddle at the town dances. He was 19 when WW11 broke out, enrolled at a Business College inRegina.  He enlisted  in 1941., where he given his nickname “Buzz”.  Buzz led  his platoon in the Moyland Wood battle, earning the Military Cross Medal for bravery.  Very successful career with Ford Motor Company of Canada. At a family birthday celebration, in 1985, he had a life altering stroke, and we lost our Dad & Grandfather as we knew him. He lived with the debilitating loss of mobility & speech for a year. He left a huge gap in our family still felt to this day.  We honour him by living our best lives and, this month, walking at least 1 km a day🌷 ShareThank you to my Donors
