In honour of our mother

There are some people who leave footprints on your heart so deep that even when they are gone, you can still feel them everywhere.

Our mother was that person.

In December 2025, our family lost the woman who meant everything to us. After years of fighting through unimaginable health struggles—including multiple strokes, heart attacks, and brain surgeries—our mother fought harder than anyone should ever have to fight.

She endured pain, fear, uncertainty and battles that most people will never understand. And through it all, she remained our mother. Our safe place. Our heart. The person who held our family together.

On December 14, 2025, at exactly 11:11 a.m., our world changed forever.

That was the moment we lost her.

My father and her four daughters have been left trying to learn how to live in a world that no longer has her in it. We wake up and remember. We go through our days and remember. There are moments when we instinctively want to call her, tell her something, hear her voice or simply have her beside us—and then the reality comes rushing back.

She isn’t coming home.

There is an ache where she used to be.

A silence where her voice once lived.

A space in our family that no one can ever fill.

Losing our mother has left a void that words cannot truly describe. Grief isn’t simply missing someone. It is learning how to carry love that suddenly has nowhere to go.

But we don’t want her story to end with the day we lost her.

We want to honour her life, her strength, her fight and the love she gave so freely to all of us.

This fundraiser is a way for our family to remember her while also helping us navigate the difficult road that comes after such a tremendous loss. Every donation, no matter the amount, means more to us than we can possibly express.

Our mother fought so hard to stay with us. Now, we are fighting to carry her memory forward.
