It’s done
Sunday 31st May Just want to say I’m done, it was a lot of walking, quite slowly but fun also. If any of you people want to visit or text feel free anytime. Next year I will be quicker to.
The 27th
Wednesday 27th May Finally broke 23 minutes, thought I would be at 20 by now but it’s something. Maybe I break 20 before it’s to cold to walk a gain, got at least 6 months for that. Share
Thank you
Sunday 24th May Just want to say thank you for all the wonderful people who donated money to me. I was expecting 500 tops, I made over 3000 thank you, thank you and thank you again, this is great. Share
Did it
Friday 22nd May Did my 31 kms today, got a week left, I’ll see what I end up with, at least 40. I want to thank my first trainers, Fabian taught me a lot about walking again, Erin worked with my speech, Martha was occupational therapist, Laura was recreation specialist, Karen was nurse both times, and Suzie was tough both times aswell. Thanks for all of you, it meant a lot. Share
At home
Wednesday 20th May Once i got home I had a whole bunch more people for 2 more months of training. There was Jill who did walking and working out, breanne took me golfing and did fun stuff, Suzie who did all the work outs 2or3 times a week and Heather the OT. That was the team for the second stroke, I’ll get the other team tomorrow, thanks for all the work ladies. Share
19 days
Tuesday 19th May Very nice day today, want to talk about Aleisha. When I was going through all the aches and pains Aleisha was there, I had gout for no reason and she called the doctor in the middle of the night to get me pain relief. She also made me “Stroke Survivor “ tee shirts, great job Aleisha. Share
Day 12
Tuesday 12th May Vicky was a tough one, she had me working on my back on my knees and pretty much every were else. She made sure everything was right as well, always fixing something. She did a great job, good work Vicky. Share
Day 11
Monday 11th May I can say a lot about Trish, she worked hard with me, I remember working on the window, trying to reach so hi, it wasn’t easy. We did a lot with my right arm, it was pretty much asleep when I started, it’s almost fully back now, you are the best Trish, thank you!! Share
Day 9
Sunday 10th May Working hard every day with Mike, he really pushed me and I enjoy it. Walking was tough but he kept it up and didn’t mess around. Great work my friend, I still do the exercises to this day. Share
Day 8
Friday 8th May One of my favourite nurses was Morgan, she spent a lot of time with me and my room mates. The last roommate was a woman named Pat who was great, she could hold her own and the three of us laughed a lot. It’s funny how such a tough time could be happy aswell. Thank you ladies for making it a decent time. Share
Day 6
Wednesday 6th May My second stroke, it was about a month that I didn’t remember from day to day. Really messed with my head, broke down completely, Jessa went back to day one, she told me everything I did, I remember asking her if I was nice to everyone ,thankfully she said I was. It is very hard to live a month like it is ground hog day. Thank you Jessa I will never forget that.
Day 5
Tuesday 5th May Morgan, Aleisha,Serena, Elaine, Tricia, Karen @stegh were some of the nurses there were many more. Thank you ladies they took alot from me but I tried to be nice as much as I could. Share
Day 4
Monday 4th May Marlene, Julie and Jessa @stegh were the people who taught me to talk again. It was a struggle for sure, thank you so much for doing that . Share
3 down
Sunday 3rd May Wanted to thank Mike, Trish and Vicky @stegh, these people taught me how to walk, eat and basically be Phil again. I will always be thankful for what they did. You people are the best. Share
Day 2
Saturday 2nd May Little cold today but not bad. Just want to let you know that with out my wife and kids this wouldn’t be happening, they are the best, they were with me , through all of this. I was down and out twice and they pulled me through it. I love you guys more than you will ever know. Share
