Week 1 Complete!

Friday 8th May
Week 1 of the Heart & Stroke 1K a Day Challenge is officially complete, and Butters and I are off to a great start!

Since May 1, we’ve been walking every single day and have already completed 27 kilometres together. What started as a simple goal to get moving each day has quickly turned into something we both look forward to. Between the fresh air, extra movement, and quality time together, this challenge has already been such a positive experience.

One thing I’ve learned this week is that consistency really does add up. Even on busy days, making time for a walk has helped improve my energy, mood, and motivation. And of course, having Butters as my walking buddy makes it even better.

At the rate we’re going, we’ll likely beat the 1K-a-day goal  which feels amazing only one week in! 

I’m excited to keep building momentum throughout the rest of the challenge and see how far we can go by the end.

Here’s to another week of steps, sunshine, and walks with Butters!
