Sunday 15th Feb
This morning I had completed 27km, so o decided to step it up a notch. I went for a nice light saunter for 10km!  I’m extremely sore, but feel accomplished.  Trying to impress you so you’ll make a donation to a worthy cause!  Is it working?

Fist day complete

Sunday 1st Feb
I woke up today enthusiastically. Ready to seize the day and begin the journey to walk 50km in February.  And then I completed my first walk.  It was my normal walk with my dog, Nacho.  It was a shorter walk, 1.1kms. Depending on Nacho, sometimes our walks are short and sometimes they are longer (around 2km). I came to the realization that I already walk approx. 3km/day and if I used these walks in my goal to walk 50km, I wouldn’t have to do any extra walking.  Well that defeats the purpose. 

I have a new goal. Walk 50km in February above and beyond my normal walks. My new goal allowed me to get out for a nice, brisk walk on my own midday. 5.5 km to be exact!  My new goal is much harder, but very attainable.  I’ve set up lunch walks at work and invited co-workers to join me.  At my kids activities, I’m going to head outside for walks instead of just sitting in a chair waiting for them to be done.  50 km is there for the taking.
