Friday 1st May

Last August we were stunned and devastated when our brother Erik suddenly died. I'm so grateful to have seen him almost every week in our family Zooms since March of 2020, together with all of my siblings, mom, dad and a rotating cast of younger Markens and their partners.

Erik was an amazingly generous, thoughtful, kind, smart, athletic, brave, inventive, musical, creative, and funny human, and a wonderful Dad to my three nephews.

I miss him terribly.
