🌟 I need your support! 🌟
This July, Christa Mayers and I are swimming 10km each and fundraising for Heart & Stroke, and we can’t do it alone. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to our fundraising target.
I think we all know and love someone with heart disease. EVERYONE has a story.
Me? I'm doing this for my Mum.
10 years ago she had a stroke and it was the scariest time of my life. I'm grateful every day for the care she received and still recieves from federal and provincial healthcare programs,. The Heart and Stroke Foundation works alongside our gov't to change regulations; fund research; improve community survival rates; etc. My Mum is well and thriving now and continues to gain heart function and strength! Even after 10 years. I'm grateful for that beyond measure. And for that, I will swim. So SHE knows she is still surrounded by love and support and strength.
Additionally, I'd like to honour my Dad (passed) who also had heart disease - I love you Dad; Nana (passed); Grandpa John (passed:) and my Aunt Mary Lou and Uncle Ken who are currently living with heart disease. I love you all very much.
Together, we can make every beat count.
