Day 10 Update

Sunday 10th May
As I finished up my day 10 walk I was thinking to myself how far I've come in only just over a week. My pace is up, my average distance is increasing, and I feel really good and able to go at a steady pace.  Consistency really is the key.  My back and hips still get a bit achy but not enough to slow me down. Onward and upwards!

Getting off my butt

Tuesday 28th Apr
From 2015 to 2020, I was at the gym a minimum of 3 times a week. The pandemic hit, gyms closed and my activity level plummeted. I put on weight, developed type 2 diabetes and put myself at a much higher risk for Heart Disease and possible strokes.  Seeing the 1K a day challenge was just the thing to get me off my couch and out the door to get me moving. 
Join me in raising funds and my heart rate in the month of May where I hope to also build better habits for my long term health.
