May flowers plus a few steps in the right direction!
Tuesday 28th Apr Hi, my name is CeAnne & I have decided to team up with the Heart & Stroke Foundation in the month of May to raise awareness & support for a worthy cause that is near and dear to my heart. In the month of May I will walk 62 km to support Heart & Stroke.I am the granddaughter of a very special woman whom Heart Disease claimed very quickly & early in her years at the age of 59. Our family has missed her dearly over the years as Severe Heart Disease had other plans for her. We were quickly left with a void, clinging to nothing more than the memories we were so lucky to have made in our short time with her. This May I will walk 31 km for my grandmother, gone...but not forgotten.
I am also the daughter of a Severe Stroke Survivor, whose life took a drastic turn in a split second. 1 week in a coma followed by months of being trapped within himself, speechless & paralyzed through 1 half of his body. My father has persevered through many obstacles with an unwavering determination to remain in is life. He has successfully made it 8 years post Stroke, he is nothing short of a miracle. In spite of being partially paralyzed he likely accumulates more steps daily that most. As this cause is very near and dear to my heart, I vow to walk an additional 31 km in the month of May to keep up with my father's steps.
