🌟 I need your support! 🌟

I so very rarely openly share the personal details of my experiences with heart care, but knowing the fundraising challenges in this economic climate, here is a little bit of my story…18 years ago in early January, I was admitted to the ICU and diagnosed with heart failure.  Prognosis at the time was not great and while I try not to dwell on that very difficult time for my family, the health journey that I’ve been on since then has shaped my life.  There have been many ups and downs, but here I am despite the odds…18 years later and ready to take on this February walking challenge for a cause near and dear to my heart (sorry for the intended pun!).

The care I received in ICU and throughout the years with various cardiologists is a testament to the research and advancements made in heart care through support of organizations like the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  My family has been my greatest inspiration and motivation to keep going, and together we have arrived at this beautiful stage in my life where each day I have the opportunity to move my body and chase joy.  

Now, I am asking for your support.  Every donation, big or small, brings me one step closer to my fundraising target.

I totally understand that many of you already support other organizations and I just want you to know that support for this February 50 km challenge does not have to be monetary -  personal messages to me along the way for motivation is a perfect way to support this cause.
