🌟 In honour of my two angels🌟

In the last two years, two very important people in my life suffered life-changing strokes:  Grandma Cora on Jan 10 2024 and my dad on December 24 2025.  I was very blessed that both survived their respective strokes at the time.  Now, with both of them gone, I'll be swimming to fundraise in their honour. 

This July I'm swimming and fundraising $1000 for Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Every donation, big or small, is appreciated.

Thank you to everyone for helping me make goal!!! You're the best!

Yesterday, I completed my first swim 👙.  Wanted to test out my knee since my surgeries/accident and I can say it went super well!!!

While I was swimming, I thought a lot about my dad. He LOOOOOOVED swimming!  He was always in the water whenever we'd be on vacation.  He'd swim out way beyond what was allowed... Til he was a little blob in the middle of the ocean.  He was a strong swimmer too!  He'd hold his breath for ages and more than once, survived some dangerous waves.  He loved the water. 

When Phil and I were little, he'd always be in the pool with us humming the Jaws Theme, chasing us, throwing us in, or even doing silly bopping games.  He'd lurk underwater and "attack" while Phil and I laughed hysterically.  I'm excited to do this challenge and relive some of these fun memories.
