Stepping Up for a Cause: 50km for the Heart & Stroke Foundation

In February, I am lacing up my sneakers with a specific mission in mind: I’m walking 50 kilometers to raise funds and awareness for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Heart disease and stroke impact millions of families, and the Foundation does incredible work in life-saving research and advocacy. This 50km goal is my way of contributing to that cause.
A Note on the Goal
Now, those who know me well are probably thinking, "Wait, don't you already walk a lot?" You’re right! I’m lucky enough to have an active lifestyle, and hitting 50km is a great start. However, I want this journey to be about growth and pushing my limits for the charity.
Think of this month as my "warm-up." Because I want to truly challenge myself for this cause, I am already setting my sights higher for next month. Once this 50km is in the bag, I’ll be aiming to walk at least 100–150 kilometers next month.
