60km. One step at a time.
Friday 27th MarA week ago, I wasn’t thinking about walking as something meaningful.
IÂ was dealing with gallstone pain that quite literally stopped me in my tracks.
It’s funny how quickly your perspective can shift when your body gets your attention.Â
Something as simple as going for a walk suddenly doesn’t feel so… simple anymore.
It feels like a gift.
This month, I’m taking on the Heart & Stroke Foundation challenge to walk 60 km.
Not because it’s extreme.
But because it’s doable.
And because it matters.
Years ago, my Dad had a stroke.
And I still think about how different that story could have been.
How the people around him. - how quickly they reacted - may have changed everything.
That moment has never really left me.
It’s easy to think these things happen “somewhere else” or “to someone else.”
Until they don’t.
So this is my small, steady way of showing up.
Step by step.
Walk by walk.
Paying attention to my health in a way that feels sustainable, not overwhelming.
If you’ve been thinking about doing something for your health… this is your reminder that it doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes it starts with a walk around the block.
And if you feel called to support this cause - whether that’s donating, walking, or just paying closer attention to your own health)m - I’d love to have you alongside me. 💕
