I haven’t shared much publicly about this, but in Oct 2025, I was diagnosed with Severe Heart Failure (non ischemic cardiomyopathy & LBBB). There is NO CURE. My hearts function was at 10-15% at the time of diagnosis. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. They still don’t know what caused it.

It was something I never expected to happen to me, and it changed my life overnight. The months since have involved a lot of appointments, medications, tests, uncertainty and support from my family and a few friends that I’ve told. I’ve also learned just how important heart research and treatment really is.

I’ve decided to turn this experience into something positive by raising money for the Heart & Stroke Foundation and I’ll be walking 90 kms in September.

Heart disease and stroke affect so many people and families, often when they least expect it. Research, better treatments, and access to care can genuinely change and save lives.
