Why am I here?

Sunday 16th Aug

I was searching for something to improve my health as well as help out with an important cause for the improvement of our collective health. I have lost many friends and family members to cancer. I have lost many friends and family members to heart disease.

So, what do I do? Both the Canadian Cancer Society and The Heart and Stroke Foundation are sponsoring fund raising walks in September. Both causes are very near and dear to my heart. I could have done both but that would split my base of potential donors. I want to make the biggest impact that I can. I decided to toss a coin and voila! The Heart and Stroke Foundation won. Next time I will do it for The Canadian Cancer Socirty.

I have an old and dear friend who recently went through an open heart procedure to effect repairs and is healing and recovering well. All because of great science and medicine that was funded by efforts like this.

So, if you can, I humbly ask you to donate whatever amount you wish for this most worthy foundation.
