This May, I’m taking on the Heart & Stroke May Challenge alongside my sister, and it means more to us than I can fully put into words.
In 2009, our dad went through a cardiac event that changed our lives. Watching someone you love face heart disease reshapes how you see everything - health, time, and what really matters.
Over the years our family has dealt with the ups and downs of dealing with chronic illness and this challenge is our way of honouring that journey.
We’re doing this for him, and for everyone whose family member, or who themselves, has had to work through something similar.
