Thank you so much for visiting my page. We all know that we all know someone who’s had a stroke or a heart attack. I do. My grandmother had a stroke in 2016. 6 months after my first son was born. She was paralyzed and unable to communicate for two years while she lived in palliative care until she died on August 10th, 2018.  My second son was born in 2023 on her birthday, March 14th.   I walk for her. The most independent, barrier breaking woman I know. 

My mom had a heart attack in 2025. She’s still with us. And escaped relatively unaffected. I walk for her. 

In 2013, my first born was 7, and my second born was 1.5 years. I was 25, and the healthiest I had been. I had just lost 60 lbs by diet and cardio. I had a stroke getting my daughter ready for school on a Tuesday in May. I was paralyzed for almost one week. I have permanent muscle damage in the left side of my face, and memory loss, I also have a blood clotting disorder, and a blood pressure disorder. I walk for me. 

And I walk for you. And your family member, and your friend. And your neighbour. And your delivery man.  I walk because everyone IS someone who’s been affected by heart attack or stroke.   Let’s change that. ❤️
