Walk 50km in February

One Day to Go and Feeling So Grateful

With just one day left in our Heart and Stroke fundraiser, I’m sitting in a lot of gratitude.

I’m so proud to share that we have officially reached our fundraising goal and I’ve completed my full 50 km walking commitment. What started as a personal challenge quickly became something much bigger, and that is entirely because of the incredible people around me.

I want to give a special shout out to this amazing team.

To my buddy who has nearly doubled his walking goal, your consistency and commitment have been so inspiring to watch. You quietly showed up and put in the work day after day.

Cindy, who is only a kilometre or two away from hitting her goal, you are right there and I am cheering you all the way to the finish line.

And Taylor, your support behind the scenes and your help bringing in donations has made a real impact. Fundraising can be the hardest part, and you showed up in such a meaningful way.

Together, we didn’t just move our bodies this month. We moved this cause forward. Every kilometre walked and every dollar raised helps support critical research, prevention, and care for those impacted by heart disease and stroke.

There is still one day left if anyone has been thinking about supporting or sharing. Every bit truly does make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, shared, and cheered us on. This one means a lot.

Meet the Team!

I started this 50km walking challenge expecting it to be a personal commitment. I didn’t expect how quickly it would turn into something shared.

Three people close to my heart have joined my team and are each committing to walking 50km this month in support of Heart & Stroke. Having their support has been incredibly meaningful to me.

This team represents different seasons of my life. One is my mother in law, Cindy, who brings steady encouragement and quiet strength. One is my first friend, Taylor, when I moved to BC 18 years ago, a reminder of how far life can take you and the connections that stay. One is a family friend, Jeff, who has felt like a brother to me since I was 14 and has always shown up when it mattered most.

We’re each walking 50km this month, together in spirit, in support of a cause that means a great deal to me. I’m really grateful to be walking this challenge alongside people who are such a big part of my life and journey.

More than we hoped for - Thanks to all of you!

We haven’t even hit February yet and we’ve already reached our original goal! I’m so beyond grateful for the support. Because of this momentum, we’ve increased our goal to help support even more heart & stroke research. Thank you for being part of this!

We're walking 50km for Heart and Stroke!

This February, we're walking 50km and fundraising for Heart & Stroke. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to our fundraising target.

Will you join us in making a difference? 🙌

Together, we can make every beat count! 💪
